Power plate work out - 8th July

My next ilipo session is at 6:30pm on Wednesday. I will arrive back to town at 5 which gives me a bit of time to kill, annoyingly. However the clinic itself closes at 8pm which gives me free reign of the power plate machine and cross trainer after the treatment.

I am planning to use the cross trainer immediately after my treatment for as long as I can do boost my heart rate and cardio.

Of course the ilipo is targeting my stomach so after I use the cross trainer I will use the power plate to focus as much as I can on my abs. The last runs I used the machine in my induction it was almost just like a brief run through of some exercises and an overview of how the machine works. There is an extensive list of exercises on the wall that are tailored to the power plate. These include warming up, stretching and all aspects you would need to focus your workout on. I plan to follow this structure but to do more of the exercises to really push myself harder. I find it hard to motivate myself to exercise at home but if I am alone with the equipment then I have no distractions or excuses.

Up until then I will be sticking with fruit for breakfast, a wholemeal sandwich or salad for lunch and a healthy dinner. Trying to keep my calories under 1000 a day is a must. I will of course keep you updated on my journey!

Next session - Wednesday 8th July

My next session of ilipo is 8th July, this coming Wednesday. After my last session I have tried my best to keep my calorie intake down and my exercise level up. I can't really speak for the weekend as I was so busy, I didn't eat brilliantly but it wasn't completely horrendous either.

So far I have tried to limit the amount of calories I have in one day and I've tried to avoid eating things I don't need. I used the power plate and did some exercise after I got home from my first session. Thursday night I exercised too. Friday and Saturday were a write off but I made the time to do some squat exercises and also an ab work out that nearly killed me!

I am going to try and do some exercise every night, targeting my legs, bum and stomach area. Also using weights to assist the exercises and tone my arms. I do need to do more cardio to actually lose the weight though so using the treadmill is a must.

In my next post I'm going to devise a rough plan for my next power plate work out.

Hello!

I have only just had a chance to look at my full profile online and I am happy to see I have people viewing this blog in USA! I only really made this to record my own results in a different way, I really would like to spread the word about my weight loss and ilipo journey so if anyone reading has any questions or would like some advice please drop me a comment or email me at aghilipo@gmail.com

First session!!

I began my ilipo journey yesterday, even with all my research I was not sure what to expect. I arrived at the studio and paid half of the money up front. Elaine was very welcoming and I was soon lead upstairs to begin. I was weighed and my measurements were taken. I realised in that moment no one had seen my full stomach in over 3 years, also I was shocked to actually find out how much weight I had put on and that immediately gave me motivation.

The ilipo machine is pretty straight forward. There are 4 plastic paddles which contain the lasers and 2 smaller diodes that you place at your groin. Firstly the lasers were put on the right side of my stomach for 10 minutes and then moved to my left side for a further 10 minutes. The process was quick and all I was able to feel was warmth from the lasers.

It was over quickly and easily and then I began my power plate induction. The machine is pretty impressive. It vibrates at different hz and you can increase and decrease the time and vibration as you get more accustomed to the machine. We selected exercises for me to try, some much harder than others and immediately you can feel your body working. A thirty second deep squat on the power plate feels like 50 squats at home!

Overall I enjoyed my experience. I realise that this won't happen over night and I need to work at it. I am going to put myself together a full day plan including what I will be eating and what exercises I will be doing. I am motivated now.

My next session is at 6:30 next Wednesday and I will endeavour to use the power plate more and for longer next time. In the meantime I need to keep up at home. My goal is to not put the harmful fats into my body at all if I can help it. Here goes nothing!

Today!!

Today at 7pm I begin my laser lipo! Safe to say it's been highly anticipated and I can't wait. To be honest I'm not too sure what to expect. Getting my stomach out to undergo the treatment is what I'm most worried about! I will be taking before and after pictures purely to document my results.

Once my treatment and first time on the power plate is complete I will give you my verdict! I'm hoping this will give me the drive I need to finally change myself!!

Wednesday 1st July - 1st session plan

I will be given an overview of the procedure when I arrive I presume. I have received a confirmation text that my appointment is at 7pm and the laser treatment will last 30 minutes. I assume the other 30 until the salon closes at 8 will be an induction to the power plate. If I can get at least 20 minutes exercise on that I should burn off my stomach fat.

The lasers will be positioned on my stomach to release fat from that specific area. I will then work this off, doing specific exercises on the power plate to target my stomach.

I will walk home from town after the appointment (depending how I feel). That will be an approx 40 minute walk which should release more fat/calories from me.

If I am feeling really up for it I will continue my exercise at home: squats with weights, sit ups, lunges.

I want to aim to do this every time and even better my efforts. I am motivated and determined that this will be the last summer I feel self conscious.

2 days till ilipo!

I'm really excited now. I hate all my clothes and I hate the way I now look in them. This is the first time in my life I've had to hide my stomach, my legs and my arms. I hate the way I look and it really brings me down. The weathers really warm now which restricts my outfit choice even more. I cannot bare to show a part of me I'm not comfortable with, not even to myself.

The healthy eating didn't go too badly yesterday. I stuck to reasonably healthy meals and didn't really snack. It's not enough though I know I need to work on myself properly.

It's hard to find the drive to exercise after work. I'm so tired and it's the last thing I want to do when I get in. However with the power plate after my ilipo sessions I am able to use it until the salon closes then I can walk home and even continue when I get back if the motivation is there.

I need to try new ways of banishing the food cravings without being on a strict crazy diet but I find it find it nearly impossible. I'm eating a lot more fruit than normal which is something positive I can say for myself.

I wish I was starting this today. I need a push to get me going and I pray this is it. I have never been more excited to better myself.

Laser lipo dos and don'ts!

Whilst researching I have come across the below dos and don'ts. Of course I do not know to comment myself but after a couple of sessions and speaking with the woman to deliver my treatment I will comment and construct my own dos and donts.

The below that I found I will try to follow before my first sitting:

pre laser lipo DO

Eat green veg

Drink LOTS of water.

Eat cranberries! (Not juice, it has too much sugar)

Practice breathing techniques

Massage (I can’t do this one!)

Exercise: (mainly cardio) I do this everyday anyway…

pre laser lipo DONT

No alcohol

No caffeine (coffee, tea, diet coke, nothing!

Don’t eat a large meal before or after your laser lipo session.

The next 12 hours after your session you should only have low-fat or if possible no-fat food.

3 days till ilipo

I am very excited now, I have sent an email to the salon to enquire if everything is confirmed with my booking. I might look to buy some cheap work out clothes this evening as that is something I am lacking in. Once I begin this treatment the  plan is to exercise almost everyday, as well as the power plate and the ilipo.

I need real results for this, I am paying a lot of money and I have had to sacrifice other things to financially accommodate this. I believe all will pay off if I achieve the weight loss results.

It is now Monday so the eating plan begins today. I will be sticking to it even on the weekends will be a struggle. My boyfriend likes to eat well exactly like me, however he is the perfect build and no matter what he eats he seems to stay perfect. This cannot be said for me.

In all I am feeling positive about this venture, my boyfriend seems excited for me which is a bonus and I can't wait to be confident on the beach in 85 days!

4 days till ilipo!

Today is 28th June and I'm on the train back from my boyfriends. I start my course of laser lipo this coming Wednesday. I probably shouldn't have but this weekend has been a final blowout weekend where I am eating whatever I want. As soon as next week begins I will be on strict diet and exercise which will cut out all rubbish. I will allow myself to have the odd thing but takeaways are strictly off limits.

My boyfriend and I booked our holiday today. We are staying in Albuferia in Portugal for the last week of September. From today that gives me 86 days to get in shape. I want this holiday to be the best ever in lots of ways and one of the biggest is I want to feel comfortable in myself. If I am not, I cannot fully enjoy myself. I want to wear a swimming costume with pride and no self consciousness so my challenge begins

I am having my last cheat meal tonight and all clean eating begins tomorrow morning...

Laser Lipolysis

Good morning! Allow me to introduce myself. I am a 19 year old girl from Berkshire, I work full time for a massive company providing business and managed services. I have a boyfriend who I adore and a very dysfunctional family.

I, unfortunately am prone to stress and some extent of anxiety. I have over come this a great deal in recent months due to my confidence being built through the work place and the never ending support from my boyfriend. However along the way I have lost control of my weight.

I have never been obese, never been someone you would look at and think "she's big" but I have never been fully comfortable with my weight. Sadly throughout my whole life I had thought I was fat, only sharing this thought with very few. I look back at pictures of myself during my teenage years and I'm envious. I looked great, my eyebrows and hair could have done with a bit of work but I was not on the slightest overweight. I know myself and I know that despite what I can see now, at the time I felt disgusting.

I had lost my baby fat and slimmed down by about 14-16 and sadly that was when my body was at its best! An abusive relationship and a destructive amount of stress kept the weight off for a year or so more but as soon as I reached the beginnings of adulthood I was lost. I had developed bad habits like smacking freely, smoking, drinking. But my issue was I didn't know when to stop. I had never been so hungry in all my life, the smoking opened up a new hunger that no food could fill. At ridiculous times of the night I would find myself consuming more than I'd had for my dinner. And eventually all the calories got the better of my stomach and my thighs.

One day I was looking on Groupon and in amongst the tempting deals I saw one for a considerable percentage off iLipo, laser lipolysis treatment. I had never heard of this and clicking on the tempting looking image of a slim girl’s stomach I was anticipating money off liposuction surgery. However the more I read the more this treatment appealed to me. There was not a great deal of detail so I immediately began researching. It was non evasive, available locally and best of all it seemed to have real legitimate results. The iLipo claimed to lose inches off your chosen problem area in just 8 treatments. Using a cold laser the problem fat cells are stimulated and released into the blood stream for you to work out. Exercise is still required but you can target a specific area in which you want the weight to be lost from. After each treatment you would be required to work out to burn off the released fat but many website talked about an alternative to cardio. The Power Plate.

The Power Plate machine claimed to achieve the equivalent of an hours work out in just 15 minutes! Surely these methods are too good to be true? I am usually quite paranoid and cynical and tend to trip advise everything and wade through a mountain on reviews before committing. However, I found no bad reviews?! Only before and after pictures and positive feedback.

I continued to look and decided that the iLipo was out of my price range. The cheapest I could find (excluding the Groupon deal) was £100 a session for a course of 8 and £800 was looking unlikely. Despite this I still thought I would love to try this Power Plate machine, if I could illuminate the torturous reality of going to the gym I might still be able to lose some weight before September!

I researched some more and came across a beauty salon in my town offering iLipo and also accommodating a new Power Plate studio, charging £1 a minute. Fairly expensive if you think about it but none the less I though why not? I was down to my last resorts now! I emailed the salon and arranged a Power Plate induction for after work but that induction turned into me signing up for Laser Lipolosis!

The woman at the salon was lovely, she was informative but it was not like a sales pitch. What swayed it for me was the fact that the course was half price, meaning rather than the jaw dropping £800 it was a more friendly sounding £400. I needed to do all 8 courses in quick succession for optimum results and this meant forking out the full amount in one go. I am still not sure how this will work out due to my boyfriend being momentarily out of work and having a holiday to pay off but it’s the things you don’t do you regret, right?

So I booked myself in! I left feeling positive and excited about weight loss for the first time in my life. I didn’t know if I was being crazy, I was sure if I told certain people there reactions would be “How much?!” or “Just go to the gym!” but I felt as if this would be right for me.

I called my boyfriend when I returned home, he knew I was going to the Power Plate induction but I had not yet even mentioned the iLipo to him. After a brief explanation I half expected him to ask what’s the point in it or question the cost but I should have known how supportive he would be. He told me to do it if I wanted and not worry about the money. It’s important throughout life to have positivity surrounding you, especially when you are on a quest to find the best version of yourself. I am lucky enough to have everything I could possibly need in my boyfriend and as a side note, everyone deserves the same.

To be honest I'm really excited about staring my laser lipo journey. I've only told my boyfriend about it, no one else. This is because I am not after anyone's opinion on this. I have made up my mind.

To me the money doesn't really matter, it's about the way I feel about myself.  If you do not feel good about yourself you can never reach your full potential as a person. I want to look in the mirror and be happy with what I am seeing. I want to show my boyfriend my true self and I want to by all the clothes I like!

I begin my journey on the 1st July and I will continue to write as I go through this treatment. Maybe someone out there will enjoy what I'm saying and want to begin their own alternative weight loss experience too.

Goodbye for now!
